Canada is on the verge of making multibillion dollar investments in new nuclear technology. These decisions will have consequences lasting for many decades into the future. Nevertheless, there is no forum for open informed and unbiased technical discussion of the critical choices that will be made in the next year or two.  The purpose of this blog is to provide such a forum.

If you are interested in more about my motivation for writing this blog, please read the first post “An urgent need to discuss Canada’s nuclear technology choices”.  I welcome comments but I would ask you to first read the next post “Rules for Moderating the Discussion” which sets out rules for a productive dialogue, includes various disclaimers and tells you a bit about me should you be interested.

Thank you for your interest.

I was very fortunate to have run across your blog. Although
I live in the country of Texas, I have visited Canada many times and love the beauty of your country. Your blog is extremely informative and very well written. having been associated with several nuclear projects here in the states I can empathize with your attempt to promulgate a truthful exchange of information without letting the “renewable energy only” advocates dominate the discussion. Looking forward to receiving all of your posts.
